In the early stages of the game, Henry has little money to rub together, making it a pain to procure the equipment you need, like lockpicks, armour and the all-important Saviour Schnapps. To help you on your way to a fortune, here are our tips for making money in Kingdom Come: Deliverance.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance – Easy Way to Make Money and Improve Reputation. Then head over to a trader that will buy food, and sell the stuff. Specialist traders like smiths and the like will not buy food, but innkeepers will, many traders at the marketplace will, and general-purpose merchants will also. One deer should equal about 400 groschen. Stealing is by far the most lucrative method to earn money quickly in the game. Before trying to steal, make sure you have unlocked the ability to sell stolen goods. It is also recommended to get a horse to speed up travel times. The quieter towns with guards are a good place to start. Wait until dark and approach a guard from behind.

How to make money in Kingdom Come Deliverance

How to get money in Talmberg:
Right at the start of the game, you’re completely strapped for cash. Your father might’ve given you 10 Groschen in the prologue, but that’s about it. As part of escaping Talmberg, you can choose to pick a lock to steal a guard uniform, but you’ve got no money for lockpicks. If you go to Lady Stephanie – who’s upstairs across the courtyard from where your bed is in Talmberg – she’ll give you 25 Groschen for paying bribes. You’re then free to do what you want with that money.

Loot everything:
Once you’ve left Talmberg for the first time, you’ll see the bodies of unfortunate peasants slaughtered by Sigismund’s Tartars. You can find lots of useful items and coin on their bodies, so pick up as much as you can. A few will have Groschen, most will have food items that you can save to eat yourself or sell to a merchant for small amounts of coin later. If you’re not fussy, every piece of silver counts, and there are no repercussions for taking what you can find.

Raiding Bandits and Cumans for cash:
Early on in Kingdom Come Deliverance, merchants are the only places you’ll find valuable items. But once you get to Rattay, you can lay your hands on great stuff to sell by killing enemies.

Clear your inventory of all non-essentials to save weight, then equip your best fighting gear and pack some light food. Head north out of Rattay and explore the areas to the northwest and northeast. Along the various secluded roads and trails, you can encounter bandits waiting to ambush unsuspecting travellers – you can usually see one of them standing in the road.

If you head even further north, or more to the northeast, you can encounter more bandits and even Cumans. If you take these guys out, you can loot expensive armour from their bodies. Bandits tend to have padded cowls that have a value of about 80 Groschen, while Cumans can drop chainmail armour which has a tidy value of more than 300 Groschen.

This is a time-consuming pursuit – even if you take your trusty steed with you – but soon enough you can have thousands of Groschen, and it’s fun to explore some of Kingdom Come’s open world.

Money can be hard to come by in Kingdom Come: Deliverance, especially for a simple son of a blacksmith like Henry. You’ll need frugal spending habits if you want to purchase better gear or get trained in skills like how to read and how to brew potions. You can’t even clean your clothes at the local Bathhouse without being asked to fork over some Groschen. Though you won’t really have a steady income, there are a few ways that you can make a quick buck when necessary. Get Good at Stealing

One of the best ways to earn money fast in Kingdom Come: Deliverance is to get good at stealing, whether that be through lockpicking chests or pickpocketing strangers. Increasing these stats will allow you to get better at stealing, which can help you make money fast if you know where to pilfer.

Part of what makes stealing so effective is your ability to sell stolen goods to certain merchants. Of course, none of this will be possible if you don’t pay back Miller Peshek in Rattay for taking you in and footing your medical bills, so focus on repaying your debt to him first.

To repay Miller Peshek, you can either pay back with Groschen or do him a favor. We suggest the latter, as this unlocks The Good Thief side quest, which will eventually allow you to sell stolen items. Peshek can also help train you in pickpocketing and lockpicking to help you hone your thievery skills.

Take From The Rich

Following up from the previous tip, one of the best ways to make money fast in Kingdom Come: Deliverance is by stealing from the rich folks in town. Not only are rich citizens more likely to have a decent chunk of change in their pockets, but they also have plenty of valuable items back at home, too.

Track down where a noble lives and break into their house using your lockpicking skills. Make sure you’ve got some lockpicks to spare so that you can open any chests you find inside and steal their contents.

If you’re going on a thieving spree in a major town, stay on the lookout for security guards. Guards will occasionally come up to search you if they think you’re up to something fishy, especially if you have a poor reputation. This can land you in hot water, so try not to get caught with stolen goods in your pockets.

Highway Robbery

If you’d rather not steal from the folks in Rattay, you can always target roadside travelers instead. When trekking the roads between major towns, you’ll come across Wayfarers who usually carry some Groschen on them.

Sneak up behind an unsuspecting traveler and knock them out, making sure there are no guards around first. You don’t have to kill them to search their pockets and steal their goods. Remember, items you don’t need can always be sold to merchants and fencers to make money in Kingdom Come: Deliverance.

Become an Ear Salesman

Okay, this one is a bit odd, but it’s better than robbing the good people of Rattay blind whenever you need some coin. Sir Robard in Talmberg will pay you for bringing him the ears of yellow-armored Cumans. Meanwhile, in Rattay, Captain Bernard is willing to pay you a pretty penny each time you bring him the ears of bandits.

You must first obtain a dagger and keep it in your inventory before you can start cutting off the ears of Cumans and bandits for money. Collecting ear trophies can be a very lucrative enterprise, as both Sir Robard and Captain Bernard are willing to pay a decent price per ear. Everything has a price in Kingdom Come: Deliverance, and the ears of criminals are no exception.

Practice Haggling

For a more noble approach to making money in Kingdom Come: Deliverance, you can always work on your haggling skills. Haggling can be a great way to not only save money, but also earn money as well. Buying goods on the cheap and then reselling them at a higher price will allow you to turn a profit, earning you more Groschen over time.
